We were asked by the lovely team at Come Round if we wanted to host an #AquabeadsParty.
I love arts and crafts and it’s something I have wanted to do more of with Cameron, so I was very looking forward to it arriving. It was also a chance to get Cameron away from his Playstation and Minecraft for a while.
Cameron didn’t care that the packaging was quite a ‘girly pink’ which was fantastic. All Cameron cared about was creating fantastic designs.
Aquabeads Beginners Studio Review
The Aquabeads Beginners Studio contains everything you need to get started:
- Over 800 beads in 12 different colours
- A Bead Pen
- A Water Sprayer
- Design Templates
- Top tray with different sections to keep all of the beads
It also has a handy storage case which means that your beads and templates are stored safely. This is handy if you have little ones around who like putting things in their mouths.
The templates clip in under the template tray and the template tray sits on top of the storage tray. This gives you a nice stable mini workstation to work on. Although Cameron preferred just to put the template tray on the table.
Cameron being Cameron, liked to use the beads from all of the sets we received so if you purchase the Aquabeads Beginners Studio, you may not get all the colours we used.
We spent most of the weekend playing with the Aquabeads. It is so simple and easy to create your designs. You can either follow the template or create your own design. You spray your design with water and leave it to dry.
My only bug bear with Aquabeads is that it can take a couple of hours for your design to dry, so if you only have one layout tray, you have no choice but to wait. So I would really recommend that you buy a few.
Cameron & I had lots of fun creating our designs over the weekend.
We even went online to see if we could find more designs to make. We founds lots more.
Overall, I think that Aquabeads are fantastic for both boys and girls of all ages and even adults. I found myself creating designs when Cameron had gone to bed. We have plenty of beads left, but Cameron is already asking for more for Christmas to increase his collection.
