When I was asked if I wanted to review the Tangle Teezer I got really excited.
Why? I hear you ask.
Because I had heard so many fantastic things about the Tangle Teezer being the miracle hairbrush for all types of hair.
I have very fine hair, but I also have a lot of it. This means that my hair knots very easily and when it’s wet, it is an absolute nightmare. I have used a Synthetic Bristle Cushion Brush for as long as I can remember. It does eventually get my knots out, but I have to almost hack at my hair to achieve this. This results in a lot of hair breakage, loss and often a sore head. I can not brush my hair when it’s wet as my previous hair brush would just not get the knots out. I always have to wait until its dried or just slightly damp.
Just to give you another example of how bad my hair gets. I can brush my hair and literally 10 minutes later it will be really knotty and matted again.

Tangle Teezer Review:
I was sent the Original Tangle Teezer in Plum Delicious. Which as you can see is a lovely pink and purple colour. Ironically these are also my favourite colours.
The design is fantastic and it fits perfectly and comfortably in your hand.
I must admit after getting it out of the packaging, I did wonder how and if it would work at all on my nightmare knotty hair. It looks like the top of a paddle brush, just with different teeth heights. How was this going to get rid of my knots?
I was impressed that during the first time I used it, just how easily it glided through my dry hair. You could hear when the Tangle Teezer got to a knot, but instead of yanking on my hair and getting stuck, it just got rid of the knot. I’m not sure why or how it worked, it just did.
Looking at the Tangle Teezer after I brushed my hair, there was hardly any hair in the teeth, it was literally a few strands. I did check the floor where I was stood and there wasn’t any on the floor either.
The next challenge for the Tangle Teezer was the wet hair test. Remember above I said that brushing my hair when wet is impossible? Well I am pleased to say that it passed the test with flying colours! I even refrained from putting conditioner on my hair to make it even more of a challenge. Again, the Tangle Teezer just glided through my hair, detangling on it’s way.
After that, I threw my old hairbrush straight in the bin! I was and am totally converted. I will never use a standard hair brush again.
Do you have a Tangle Teezer?
If you haven’t yet got your own Tangle Teezer, why not? You definitely need it in your life! They have a massive choice in colours and designs. They also have a model called Compact Styler which is perfect for your handbag. It also comes with it’s own cover to keep the teeth in perfect condition.
Look how cute this Pug Design is.
Note: I received the Tangle Teezer free for the purpose of the review. As always, all opinions are my own.
