My Reasons To be Cheerful this week are:
I wrote last week about how Cameron’s speech had been dramatically improving. (You can read about that here)
Well I am please to say that the words just keep coming out.
Since the above mentioned post, Cameron can now say the following words.
Nanny, Grampy, Ethan, Mikey, Tigger, Three, Four
They are not 100% clear like you or I would say, but you know what he is saying. I am so proud of him!
It was Cameron’s Third Birthday yesterday and he had an absolutely fantastic day. We have always been a bit concerned with Cameron in the past as he just seemed not interested in Birthday’s or Christmas and had no interest in opening presents. This year Cameron was constantly reminding us that it was his Birthday and that he was Three. He opened all of his presents this year and seemed genuinely happy.
We kept him off of nursery and had a lovely morning, just the three of us. Then Matt’s Grandparents came up in the afternoon and we had a buffet and cake!
Cameron’s main present this year was an Innotab 2. I thought he might have some problems using it as he was only 3, but I was wrong, very wrong. He has very good hand eye coordination and was playing the Team Umizoomi game we got him without any problems.
A visit from a friend
As you may know, Matt and I play a lot of Xbox. We met a guy on there 4 years ago and have spoken to him every day since. On Tuesday he finally came to see us in person. I thought I would be really nervous as I had only ever spoken to him over Xbox. But I was amazed how relaxed the whole situation was. Cameron really took to him as well. When he left. Cameron kept saying ‘Mikey Gone’. I was pleased to have finally met him as he is a really lovely genuine bloke.
These are my reasons to be cheerful this week.
