Reasons To Be Cheerful

I love taking part in My Reasons To Be Cheerful. It allows me to focus on the positive things in my life, rather than dwell on the negative. You can read my last Reasons To Be Cheerful post here:

My Reasons To Be Cheerful this week are:

  1. I am ALIVE!! A childhood friend of mine sadly passed away from Cancer a few weeks ago. He was only 22. We were very close growing up, however lost contact when I moved away. The last time I saw him was in Argos when I was picking up Cameron’s new bedding. It really hits home just how precious life is and how it shouldn’t be wasted.
  2. I am very lucky to have my son. A girl who I grew up with, who I classed as my cousin for my whole life, had to go through the heartbreaking moment of giving birth to her stillborn son last week. She went full term +1 week and sadly, the baby’s heart just stopped beating. I can not even begin to imagine the pain she and her family are going through. My heart goes out to all of them.
  3. Since having the implant removed, I am continuing to lose lots of weight. A pair of trousers that I couldn’t even get into a month ago are now actually baggy on me. Contraception always makes me put on a lot of weight and I feel much healthier having it out.
  4. Cameron had now gone 19 days without a bottle of milk at bedtime. I am going to throw his bottles out tomorrow. 19 days doesn’t seem like much, but just a month ago, he would have screamed until he was sick if I didn’t give him one.
What are your Reasons To Be Cheerful this week?
