I am joining up with The Gallery again this week. You can find my previous The Gallery posts here

The Gallery is a Weekly Linky thought up and ran by Tara at Sticky Fingers Blog. Here is what she says about the linky.

I launched The Gallery, a weekly feature for people like me to participate in.

I want to encourage other bloggers, offer inspiration, give them all a place to showcase their work.
It’s essentially a virtual art gallery of photographs which opens its doors every week for everyone and anyone to join in.

Every Friday I give a prompt, an idea, a notion and you go out and take a photograph using that prompt. Or just use a photo you already have.

The prompt could be one word, an object, an idea, a phrase, anything, and you have to post a picture which you feel represents that prompt.

Post it on your blog and write about it.
That’s it.

It’s not about taking technically brilliant photos – although if you do, I’d love to see them too. It’s about having a passion for pictures; any photos, all photos whether you took it with your all singing all dancing SLR or snapped it on your camera phone

The Gallery Theme this week is Dads.

My parents split up when I was very young. I won’t go into too many details because it’s not my business to tell. However my Mum did get custody of me and my Dad had access.

Growing Up

Growing up I had 3 male role models

My Grampy, My Step-Dad and My Dad

After my Mum and my Dad split up when I was 1, my Grampy was my Father Figure for many years. Unfortunately he passed away when I was 18. I miss him so much.

My Step Dad has also been there for me since I was young and has always treated me as one of his own. I do not call him Dad but I do class him as my Dad. His Birthday, Christmas and Father’s Day cards will always have Dad on the front.

My Dad. Well that’s a story I will save for another day. However we do get on well now and he does take an active part in Cameron’s life.

Cameron’s Daddy

And it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t add Matt into the equation as he is a Dad, he is the Dad to our gorgeous little man.

What a lovely post! Seems we have similar family backgrounds with Dads'Grandad's etc, it's a lovely way to remember them and thank them! x

Thank you lovely. I would do absolutely anything to be able to talk to my Grampy again, even if just for ten minutes. Sadly he passed away in 2006 x x x
